Artist Statement

"My work reflects on abstract expressionism and draws on the energy around me. It's abstract and contemporary. My process is organic and spontaneous, a journey to find the final composition and form. I do this by the art itself. The work consists of mixed media and collage. Within the art, there is a figurative element along with non-representational work. The color and images strive to represent nonsensical emotion and story. My view of the world brings a modern-ness to my art. I am portraying abandon, struggles and victories. The purpose of the exhibition is to convey concepts and stories that are openly interpretable, inviting the viewer to insert their own subjectivity."
