About Tammy Brummell

Biography

Tammy Brummell is an established Oklahoma based artist and designer, working in fine art and design. Her work has been featured in galleries, public venues, private collections, and retail locations. Tammy has been featured in print publications, videos and television, including The Oklahoman, Edmond Magazine, Oklahoma Arts and Humanities Magazine, The Gazette, @1614 video by Christopher Hunt, Is this a Great State or What, FOX 25, KSBI, KFOR. Her current projects explore color, shape, texture and method. Applying rich bold brush strokes and color, she creates layers of intertwining stories.

How do you feel about exhibiting at the Gaylord-Pickens Museum, home of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame?

"It is such an honor as an Oklahoman to be included in this exhibition. The Oklahoma Hall of Fame serves to tell Oklahoma's story and I want to thank them for letting me tell mine."

It is the mission of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame to tell Oklahoma's story through its people. How does your art help tell Oklahoma's story?

"Coming from a multigenerational Oklahoma family, I have been influenced by their lives, which reflects in my work."
